Get To Know Your Osteopath By Peter | August 31, 2018 | Osteopathy Australia | Like | 2018-08-31 01 September 2018 Peter Corbett Port Hacking Osteopathic Clinic • WHY DID YOU BECOME AN OSTEOPATH? • Strangely enough, it was because of the same man who chose my Father’s career, chose mine too! His name, John Kendall, another Aussie dentist who settled in the U.K. • Looking back, it seems that I became the unofficial helper of family aches and pains now! • WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT BEING AN OSTEOPATH? • While you are remunerated for you efforts with a monetary payment, the loveliness part of this job, is to be paid in a currency of thanks & gratitude. • WHAT OTHER HOBBIES OR ACTIVITIES DO YOU ENJOY OUTSIDE OF OSTEOPATHY? • I’ve been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity be involved with sailing for most of my life. While it started in dinghies, it soon progressed to longer passages around the UK, Greece & Turkey. • After arriving in Australia, I was crewing for races around Sydney Harbour. It was a natural progression that many of the other crew members became my friends for life. • Sailing has a tendency to bring out people’s aches & pains. While was never my intention, it turns out being visible in my sailing community accidentally provided the patients that wanted my professional attention.
